We are now moving into the hunting grounds of sharks and that is why the attacks are increasing. However, if you consider few suggestions while in water, you can definitely avoid an encounter with this deadly predator.
- Try to be a part of a group when in water. Sharks are known to attack lone individuals.
- Don’t take yourself too deep in the sea to isolate from help if need be.
- Avoid the water when it is hunting time for this predator. Most of the sharks are active at such times.
- If you are having any injury or bleeding, avoid entering into the water. Sharks are known to smell and taste blood, and trace it back to its source in no time.
- Avoid wearing shiny jewelry as the reflected light looks like shining fish scales.
- Don’t swim in water being fished and those with lots of bait fishes
- Strictly avoid swimming or surfing in the water if sharks are present. Get back to the shore immediately if there is a sighting of a shark.
- Don't splash water and also keep pets out of the water. Erratic movements can attract sharks.
